JSW Energy is one of India’s largest independent power producers and part of the JSW Group. It operates around 12.5 GW of installed capacity spanning thermal, hydro, wind, and solar energy. The company is actively transitioning toward clean energy, with current renewable capacity of approximately 5 GW (1.97 GW solar, 3.48 GW wind, 1.39 GW hydro). It aims to reach 30 GW of total generation and 40 GWh of energy storage by 2030, pursuing net-zero status by 2050. JSW has secured major PPAs, expanded its green hydrogen efforts, and is planning domestic manufacturing of solar modules and battery systems.
